Area Hotels

Troy has several options including the Franklin Square Inn/Best Western, Courtyard Albany/Troy Waterfront, and the Olde Judge Mansion, all on the CDTA 85 or 923 bus route, which will take you two blocks north of the festival. If you do not need to be on the bus route, a quick google search will give you other options in Troy.

Clifton Park is about 20 minutes north of Waterford. Latham is about 20 minutes southwest of Waterford. They both have plenty of hotel options for all budgets.

There are a number of AirBnB options close by in Lansingburgh (North Troy) and Cohoes. Feel free to contact us if you have questions about the area.

Deer Run Camp Ground is a full service camp ground 20 minutes north of Waterford.

Waterford Tugboat Roundup

The Tugboat Roundup happens each each, the weekend after Labor Day. A great festival with food, music, historical tours, tugboat tours, crafts, and spectacular Saturday fireworks. There are tugboat parades and tugboat competitions including line tossing for the crew (it's a lot harder than it looks!) and the favorite, Nose to Nose Push-off where the skill of the captains, the strength of the boat and the power of the engines are put to the test.
